He and Vonnie have lived at Lake Tahoe since 1951, and they have been members of the Lake Tahoe Ski Club since 1952 Their 3 children -- Vickie, Greg (see below) and Gary -- skied and competed for the Lake Tahoe Ski Club when Bud was Director of Competition and Coach of the IVs and Vs. Bud is a lifetime member of PSIA, a member of USSA Alpine Ski Coaches Association, and has been a national, international and FIS Technical Delegate at starts, finishes and everywhere on the course in between. Since 1976, he has been a member of the North Tahoe Board of Realtors, serving as their president twice. In his spare time, he likes fly fishing, flying and skiing and traveling around the world.

He is a PSIA level 3 certified instructor, and has sereved as the Vice Chair of the Board of Sugar Bowl Ski Team as well as a member of the board of the Sugar Bowl Academy and Far West Skiing. Additionally he serves on NSAA National Marketing Committee, the California Travel and Tourism Marketing Committee is Past President of the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as a member on both the Snowfest and Excellence in Education boards.

He has been Program Director and Head Coach at Alpine Meadows since 1997 and was Director of Skiing and Coach at Mt Ashland, Or. He is a PSIA Certified Instructor and Level 3 Coach. A member of the Board since 1985, Lee keeps us up-to-date on all the ski team activities, and helps on all fundraising activities.
